Road improvements works between Saint-Mamet and Marcolès in Cantal
As part of the development project of the “Camp Mézane – Mougeac” between Saint-Mamet and Marcolès in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Matière® was given a new project on its original lands. Our earthworks crews are working on road improvement to reduce the travel time to 15 minutes between the towns of Marcolès and Aurillac.
This new 1.3 km route aims to eliminate some turns on the RD20 and RD45 to shorten travel times. This operation must also make it possible to make Marcolès, this small medieval city, more attractive to the cantaliens.
At the level of the hamlet of Canhac, a PICF (Lower Passage to Closed Frame) boviduc will also be made under the new road by our teams from the Souleyrie plant to continue the current route.
The main quantities of the road construction site:
- Cuttings: 3,600 m3;
- Embankment: 33,000 m3.
The main characteristics of the PICF boviduc:
- Length: 13,20 m;
- Width: 2 m;
- Height: 2.50 m.
